We chat about saying no, collaboration, falling into his work, physicality behind opera, doing comedy with Colin Lane, his voice and looking after it, gratitude, rejection, generosity of spirit, fork in the road moments plus plenty more.

I love the phrase generosity of spirit and this so applies to David. David understands how to give something deep within you to a performance, going above and beyond to make the experience as great as possible.
Often when we see a performance or even have an interaction, we see the physical person, but what we really connect with is authenticity and a revealing of the soul. David reminds us how our passions and love of the craft are necessities and the key to success. It’s very rare to have soulful encounters and or experiences but when we do it moves us beyond words… It’s simply empowering.

That’s what I consider true generosity: You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing. – Simone de Beauvoir
