I love how Akmal talks about how he changed his comedy name back from Peter to Akmal. Yes obviously there was a reason for the original name change but I love how Akmal decided to embrace his genuine self, his heritage and his life. He realised that by being himself, he could offer a lot more. He acknowledges that he was able to stand out by simply being authentic. Sometimes this can be challenging and scary because we may think it is easier to blend into the crowd, but Akmal is a reminder that you shine best by being you.
