I love how Ivan talks about having your audience, in that, not everyone is right for you or share common humour, ideas etc. and that’s ok. Just because one person doesn’t find you funny, doesn’t mean you’re not talented, it just means you’re in the wrong room. By focusing on what works for you and who is right for you is a lot easier than worrying about all the negativity and the people who don’t like us.
He also explains re haters that by doing something you love, there will also be someone or a small minority that don’t like what you’re doing – not because you’re bad or doing the wrong thing, but simply because of the fact they wish they had the courage to do so. Although this can be less than easy to navigate, knowing you are on the right path and doing what you like and love will outlast and outshine all those that are not for us.
