I love how Maurice talks about despite going through enormous challenges and difficulties, he decided to make a positive change and move forward. Instead of replaying what was and questioning why it happened, Maurice recognises every moment is important and we need to stop living in the past and spend time in the now. That’s not to say don’t feel your emotions and process them, Maurice is simply encouraging us and giving us the tools to acknowledge and move ahead. The one who really suffers is ourselves by living too much in what could have been or worrying about what may happen.
Maurice also talks about how helping others move forward has also been crucial to his own evolution, development and life purpose. Sometimes when we have a lot going on, a simple act of kindness can go along way. I also really admire his outlook on how he treats people and his philosophy on treating others how you want to be treated.

“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.” Victor Kiam,
