Al Jean is an American writer and producer best known as a longtime showrunner and executive producer of The Simpsons. He has a credit on over 600 episodes and been showrunner for 25+ seasons. In addition to nine Emmy Awards, he has won two coveted Peabody Awards and was nominated for two Golden Globes. He is regarded as one of the most influential comedy writers in television history.
